SAGAING DIVISION – The terrorist junta forces murdered two civilians and raided and torched two villages in Khin U Township and as a result, civilians from seven villages had to flee, reported Htoo Khant Zaw (Amaethar), the information officer of Ye U based People’s Defense Comrade.
On Friday (January 12), the terrorist junta forces that spent two nights at Taesu Village in the western part of Khin U Township while also setting fire to the houses left the village in the morning and abducted then murdered two villagers from Myinkya Village. After that, they invaded Kyuntawgyi Village and set the houses on fire.
As such, residents of Kyuntawgyi, Kyunkalay, Yartaw, Thayetpinsu, Karseik, Magyuioat and Indinelay Villages are said to be fleeing for safety.
“This morning (January 12) when the junta dogs (junta forces) left Taesu Village and Pyu Saw Htee base at Pyinhtaung Village, they got into a clash against local defence forces. There were junta casualties. We believe that they burned the dead soldiers together with the houses they torched in Kyuntawgyi Village. The junta base in Ye U also fired numerous rounds of heavy artillery this morning because there were junta casualties,” said Htoo Khant Zaw (Amaethar), the information officer of Ye U based People’s Defense Comrade.
Said terrorist junta column is said to have merged with over 60 junta troops that came out of Ye U City then headed towards Aungmingalar Ward in northern Ye U after crossing the Muu River from Karseik Village and Yartaw Village in western Khin U Township.
