MON STATE – The leader of the Yay Balue group said that the deputy battalion commander of the Light Infantry Battalion (591) of the Junta Council based in Yay township, Mon State, was cleared today. On September 30th, at around 11:30 in the morning, the deputy commander of LIB (591) was attacked about 500 meters away from the battalion.
“At around 11:30 a.m. today, the deputy battalion commander was cleared on his way,” said the leader of the Yay Balue group. He said that the deputy battalion commander had transferred recently.
“I only know the position. I don’t know the exact name,” said the leader of the Yay Balue group when asked about the name of the deputy battalion commander.
There was no exchange of fire in the attack. He said that the Yay Balue group was waiting and attacked.
Some military news sources in Yay township are still being contacted about the circumstances of the attack on the junta council officer by the Yay Balue group, and the details are still being investigated.
