KARENNI STATE – Massive junta soldiers from the junta infantry battalion – 247, including officers, were killed, wounded, and lost their hands or legs during the Karenni Battle and do not want to go back to the frontline, said a junta source.
Many junta soldiers’ families are also worried because the junta council forced the junta troops to go to the Karenni frontline. In recent months, massive junta soldiers and officers from IB – 247 were killed, and some lost their hands or legs. Some were forced to go back to the frontline before finalizing their medical treatment.
“Over 30 from Nang Sam IB – 247 were killed, and over 50 were injured. Those who lost their hands or legs were forced to go back to the frontline before finalizing their medical treatment at Aung Ban 700-Bed Hospital. It widely affects the junta families,” said the junta source.
The families are worried about the junta troops who were forced to go to the frontline and already know that their family members might die. They also know they might face loss, and some want to flee.
“Those who are in the hospital are cared for by their family members, and those who are in good condition must go to the frontline. That’s why their family members are worrying. They also want to escape from the junta council, but the whole family couldn’t run away and don’t flee due to the family situation,” said a junta source.
The junta council is still trying to retain their camps and control the ground situation by reinforcing massive troops, but they are still facing many casualties.
