CHIN STATE – Chinland Defense Force (CDF) – Hakha spokesperson Salai Ngong San Aung said that the Chin Revolutionary Forces attacked and occupied the Bonzon camp of the terrorist army on the border of Chin State and Magway Division, killing six junta soldiers and capturing six alive, including a captain.
It is reported that the Chin Revolutionary Forces started attacking Bonzon camp which is in Hakha Township on the border of Chin State and Magway Division, at about 12:00 in the afternoon of December 17 and the camp was completely captured on December 18.
During the battle, six junta soldiers were killed and six soldiers, including a captain, were captured while there is an ongoing search for those that ran away. In addition, the area is currently being cleared and the number of junta casualties and the number of weapons seized from the terrorist army during the battle cannot be confirmed yet.
“That Bonzon camp is between Magway and Chin State. Although the camp is in Chin State, it can be said that it is the border gate of Gangaw and Chin State. It is a really important point for Hakha City in Chin State. Since the Mandalay-Hakha Road is a main road for Chin State and the junta council soldiers took up positions at this gate, it was really a hindrance for us to transport food and everything. It is a condition which we can expand our control area and this is a focal point for the security of Chin State, so it is really important to capture this camp. It’s an achievement to be proud of. Now that this camp has been captured, we can say that there is no military camp in the northern part of Chin State,” said Chinland Defense Force-Hakha spokesperson Salai Ngong San Aung.
