CHIN STATE – During the battles in Chin State between Chinland Defence Force (CDF-Daai) and the terrorist junta council over one month, eight junta council troops were killed, 95 captured alive and 23 surrendered, announced CDF-Daai.
CDF-Daai carried out Montaung Operation on January 28, capturing a total of 15 junta troops: one captain, one lieutenant, two sergeants and 11 corporals alive. Then when CDF-Daai, Chin National Army (CNA) and allied revolutionary forces launched an operation on February 7 at Laungpwe Mountain, a total of 23 junta soldiers: a captain, three sergeants and 19 corporals, surrendered.
A 20 minutes clash happened on February 7 during Lainshein Mountain operation where a CDF-Daai soldier was injured and Lieutenant Colonel Aung Tun, the battalion commander of Buthitaung based junta light infantry 233 under the Military Operations Command of the terrorist junta council, alongside a major and two captains were captured dead while one major, five captains and eight corporals, a total of 14, were captured alive.
In addition, two majors, three captains and two corporals were captured alive during Loneyin Mountain Operation on February 10 and Hlaungtway Mountain Operation on February 21.
During the operations between February 1 and 28, CDF-Daai engaged in four battles where four junta troops were killed and 59 were captured alive while a large number of weapons and ammunition were also seized. There were also said to be seven seriously injured among the 59 junta troops captured and they are currently receiving treatment and it is informed that the captured prisoners of war will be treated according to the Geneva Convention.
CDF-Daai announced that it will continue to fight alongside allied revolutionary forces to defend Chin State and Chin people and to fight the military dictatorship till the dictatorship is eradicated.
