MAGWAY DIVISION – The Divisional Supervision Office of the Magway Division in No. 1 Military Region announced that “about 50 military council’s soldiers marching to the villages of Chauk township were attacked by the PDF joint forces three times, resulting in the death of 18 terrorist soldiers, including 1 officer.”
Infantry Battalion No. (13), Infantry Battalion No. (77) and troops of Wazi of the junta council started their march on November 20th to the villages in Chauk township until December 1st. And there were three battles with PDF coalitions.
It is said that the PDF joint groups also attacked the military council column that came in three trucks with landmines. According to a statement from the No-1 Military Region Command Office, one member of the PDF coalition was killed during the fighting.
The above-mentioned junta council’s column was attacked by the forces including No. (2) regiment of Magway District, People Defense Force of Chauk, Chauk Guerrilla Force (CGF), Ngabrayma Guerrilla Force, and Chauk Revolutionary Army.
Due to the fighting, about 500 households in 3 villages in Chauk township are fleeing the war, and some of the villagers have been abducted as human shields by the military council. People are worried about their lives.
