SAGAING DIVISION – 4 men from Nat Yaykan village, Chaung U Township, Monywa District were abducted by junta soldiers around 4:00 p.m. on June 13, and unable to contact them, according to Chaung U PDF.
The victims are 25 years old Myo Thu Aung, Po Htoo, 40, and 2 more unidentified men in their 30s. They were arrested by more than ten junta troops in a car.
“The four of them are sitting on the Nat Yaykan public resting place. The Junta’s soldiers from the city came in a car and dragged everyone. These people are not PDFs, they are ordinary people,” said a member of Chaung U PDF.
He continued to say that the family members are worried about the condition of the abductees as they lost contact with them and it is unknown where they are being detained as of June 14.
Nat Yaykan village is located next to the Monywa-Mandalay road, and about 60 junta council troops have been stationed inside the village.
Previously on May 22, 4 men who were riding a high-jet car from Mandalay to Monywa city were arrested by the junta soldiers at Nat Yaykan Checkpoint. They were killed after allegedly related to PDF.
