TANINTHARYI DIVISION – It was reported that an elderly man in Kha Mauk Nge Village of Khamaukgyi Town in Kawthaung District, was killed by junta’s artillery shelling.
A local said that Mr. Khin Myint in his 60s, was hit by junta’s artillery shell, while he was working in his garden at Yae Kyaw (locally called as No.8 Chaung) near Khan Mauk Nge Village, at around 9:00 a.m., on September 21.
The terrorist junta forces that carried out offensive attacks, recklessly fired artillery shells over the civilians’ areas, killing Mr. Khin Myint, according to a local.
The junta’s propaganda websites and telegram channels released false information that the victim was shot and killed by Peoples’ Defence Forces (PDF).
“The atrocious junta is making false statements to mislead the people about the path of the revolution,” said a comrade of People Defence Forces Kawthaung.
The terrorist junta forces that carried out offensive attacks, also abducted around 30 locals who were working at rubber farms (locally called as No.2 Chaung) near Khan Mauk Nge Village, and whereabouts of the abductees have not yet known.
The fascist junta army carried out offensive attacks in Khan Mauk Nge, Chaung Wa and Ma Li Wan villages on September 20 and 21, and there were encounters between local based Revolutionary Forces and the junta army.
At present, more than 300 of residents have been forced to flee to Thailand’s territory due to military tension.
