MANDALAY DIVISION – PDF comrades reported that two Pyu Saw Htees, who were armed by the junta council, were killed near Ma Kyee Kan Village on the Natogyi-Mahlaing Road. Htay Hlaing, 55, and Maung Nyo, 69, were shot dead while traveling from Thone Taung Village to Ma Kyee Kan Village at around 1 p.m. on Friday (June 16).
“We obtained their travel information and shot them dead. They were traveling on motorcycles and jeep trailer, and women were also present. We released the others and took action against these two individuals,” said a PDF comrade.
They were shot in the head and died instantly. PDF comrades also seized a .22 handmade gun and a certificate that had been deployed by the junta’s Division-99.
The two Pyu Saw Htees were from Thone Taung Village and had threatened the villagers, pressuring them not to support the PDF comrades through issues related to electricity and agricultural loans.
Further details couldn’t be clarified. Additionally, on February 17, PDF comrades dropped two bombs using a drone on a junta camp with approximately 30 soldiers near Htan Zin Village, Natogyi Township. The attack resulted in the death of three junta soldiers and the injury of four others.
