MANDALAY DIVISION – It was reported that the junta appointed ward administration officer for Ywar Taw Lay Village, Sintgu Township was shot and killed while returning to his house, according to residents.
On March 2 in the afternoon, Khin Maung Soe, the military council-appointed administrator of Ywar Taw Lay Village, Ngwe Taung Village Tract, was shot in his home and died on the spot, according to the Scout Ground News (Sintgu) group.
“There was a report that he was shot twice and died,” said a member of the scout group. It is not known which group operated the mission yet.
Similarly on February 25, a junta appointed ward administrator and a member of Pyu Saw Htee militia were shot and killed in Kyi Taut Pauk Village, Sintgu Township, and another ward administrator was cleared within a week.
Sintgu Township People’s Defense Team has warned that they will continue to wipe out the ward administrators and Pyu Saw Htee militants under the military council if they do not enter the legal fold.
Junta’s side also fired heavy weapons towards civilians and villages, and two civilians, including an underaged child, were killed within three days during the end of February in Sintgu Township.
