More than 20 villages in Kyun Yin Village Tract and nearby villages were under flood water. The elders and more than 100 locals were trapped there. The villages were submerged due to the surging of Salin River.
There is a high ground in the eastern part, but can’t reach there anymore. It is not at all convenient to cross the water. There are so many ravines that rescue cannot come. Our village is located in remote area. The domestic animals were floating. The villagers are also stuck in the flood, and they still haven’t eaten,” said a resident.
