SAGAING DIVISION – According to the leader of the special attack unit of Dar Ma Sai Army (DMSA), Bo Htut Khaung, the members of DMSA attacked the junta council’s vessel group carrying aviation oil and rations which was travelling upstream along Chindwin river, in Salingyi township, Sagaing division. As a Result, two junta council troops were killed.
The revolutionary forces had waited in Salingyi township and intercepted five junta vessels, three vessels carrying aviation oil and rations and two military vessels, which was travelling upstream along Chindwin river from Yesagyo township, using heavy weapons and small arms at around 1 p.m. on August 5.
Two junta council troops were said to be killed and many were injured. The members of the Revolutionary Forces could manage to retreat successfully.
“Two junta council troops from a flat motor boat were said to be killed. We attacked them while they (junta servants) were entering Salingyi township through Chindwin river,” said Bo Htut Khaung.
That attack was jointly carried out by Yinmabin district battalion 28 (Dar Ma Sai Army), Yinmabin district battalion 10, Kyone Tai Guerrilla Force and the local defence forces.
