TANINTHARYI DIVISION – According to PDF comrades, the junta column retreated with casualties after being attacked for three days. Since June 17, clashes have occurred between PDF coalition forces and the junta column that arrived at Thamee Hla Village.
“The junta forces retreated as they had many casualties. Yesterday, we chased and attacked them while they were retreating,” said a PDF comrade.
On the morning of June 17, near Ban Law and Thamee Hla Villages, PDFs attacked the junta column that was heading to Thein Daw Frontline, and the fighting lasted for six hours.
KTLA reported that around 30 junta troops were killed or wounded, and one PDF comrade was injured. Additionally, on the afternoon of June 18, the junta soldiers were intercepted at the east bank of Thamee Hla, and the same occurred on the morning and evening of June 19.
Yesterday, at around 2 p.m., PDF comrades chased and attacked the junta column as they started to retreat, resulting in many casualties on the junta side.
“The wounded junta soldiers were carried, and some were hanged by others,” said a PDF comrade from Myeik District Battalion-2.
Revolutionary forces also carried out drone attacks yesterday evening. The exact casualties on both sides couldn’t be confirmed, but one PDF drone was lost. On Tuesday (June 20), the junta soldiers retreated from the side of Sin Gaung Village.
