SAGAING DIVISION – On Thursday morning (December 7), the junta council’s military camp in Aung Zaya Village located at the upper part of Tamu Township were attacked by People’s Defence Forces (PDF) and Kuki National Army, locals reported.
The clash broke out at about 7 a.m. and local residents had fled for safety. Not only junta troops, but junta lackeys militia Pyu Saw Htee, Shanni Army (SNA) and Kathe (Meithei) armed forces stationed in the military camp being attacked.
The junta thugs ran away and faced many casualties in the attack, a local resident of Tamu reported.
In addition, Local Defence Forces attacked the military council camp in Pantha Village of Tamu township on December 5 and 6, the news sources close to the Defence Forces said. Junta troops and SNA jointly stationed at Pantha Village.
Thousands of locals from villages such as Nankateik, Nankhaukkhauk, Kanan, Khampat, Bokekan, Kamma Gyi, Htin Zin, Htantapin, Minthamee have reportedly fled for safety since the atrocious junta army have been firing heavy weapons recklessly and torching civilians houses.
At present, the Defence Forces have seized many villages on Border Trade region, including Thanan Village and Khampat Town on Kalay-Tamu Road which connects India border.
