BAGO DIVISION – A bomb blast went off while junta forces came to inspect a previous blast at the Independence Park in Taungoo City, injuring some junta soldiers including a captain, reported the revolutionary forces.
On January 10 at 10:26 p.m., a bomb blast happened at the Taungoo Independence Park where the betting games that started on January 4, the Independence Day, were being hosted. Three bombs reportedly went off at Master Cafe to the east of the park and while the junta forces were inspecting it, another blast went off at 10:57 p.m. The latter blast is said to have wounded a junta captain and several soldiers.
“There was a bomb blast at the east of Taungoo Independence Park (Maidar field) at 10:26 p.m. The explosion was very loud and the whole town could feel the vibration. Another blast went off when the junta forces came to inspect. A captain and several soldiers were injured,” said a local resident.
