KARENNI STATE – Karenni Revolution Union (KRU) reported on September 8 that their allied forces combated and captured the junta’s outpost in Kone Thar Village of Demoso Township, and the terrorist junta soldiers were injured and their weapons were seized.
It was reported that the Revolutionary Forces of KRU, Battalion (4) of DMO PDF and Battalion (1) of KNDF raided the junta’s outpost in Kone Thar Village, stationed at least 20 of fascist junta soldiers, on September 2.
“We simultaneously raided Thay Su Le and Pu Hpar. There were casualties on the junta side. However, since no dead bodies were found, we were unable to confirm the details. The battle continued for two days. The junta army reinforced on September 3, and the fight broke out again. It was a suspended state of war as we combated the Kone Thar outpost without aiming to capture it,” said the official of KRU.
KRU reported that they were unable to seize only some items because the murderous junta soldiers planted a large number of land-mines, causing difficulties in clearing the area.
“There are still some items that are not included in the published list and they were withheld due to military secrets,” he continued.
It was said that no combatant of KRU, Battalion (4) of DMO PDF and Battalion (1) of Karenni Nationalities Defense Force (KNDF), was harmed during the fight.
Currently, the Kayah (Karenni) region is in the strongest position militarily. Hence, KRU urges the public to help with food, weapons and ammunition.
