BAGO DIVISION – In Nattalin Township, four junta soldiers were killed when a terrorist army column was attacked by a mine, an official from Tharyarwaddy District PDF Battalion 1, Company 2 Phoenix DF informed.
A terrorist army column with a strength of 30 that entered the outpost hill in Kyatmanet Village, the upper part of Taungnyo Dam in the east of Nattalin, was intercepted with mines by Phoenix DF on August 9, at around 1:30 p.m.
During the attack, four soldiers were killed and many were injured. The army column carried the bodies of the dead soldiers and the injured soldiers and retreated from the village of Kyatmanet. It is reported that they set the village of Pyin Ma Khaung on fire for no reason at around 3:45 in the afternoon.
Similarly, an official from the Galon PDF Nat Mauk group said that a terrorist army column that came into the mine field in Nat Mauk Township was attacked by detonating mines, injuring many.
At 7:30 a.m. on August 10, a terrorist army column that was invading into the eastern side of Nat Mauk Township was attacked by mines near the minefield where the defence forces were stationed at the intersection south of Phattawyay Village, resulting in many casualties.
“This morning (August 10) at 7:30 a.m., 33 military dogs (soldiers) invading the eastern side of Nat Mauk were blasted when they entered the mine field at the intersection south of Phatawyay Village. There could be many casualties,” said an official from Galon PDF Natmauk.
