SHAN STATE – The 2nd PDF Battalion announced today that they cleared a leader of the Pao Militia (PNO) under the Junta Council and seized weapons, ammunition, and drug tablets.
It is said that the home of PNO leader Alway, a resident of Nantok village, Pinlong Township, Shan State, was raided on August 28.
“Comrades from the 1006th Battalion stormed the house of the PNO leader in Nantok village, Ping Laung Township, and he died after the skirmish. We seized a pistol he was carrying, some ammunition, and a grenade,” said the 2nd Battalion of the PNO PDF.
A sidearm with some 9 MM ammunition, maniacal pills with a WY label, and a hand grenade were seized, the statement said.
In addition, on August 20th, PNO local leader Maung Win of Nan Phamu village, Ping Laung Township, was raided by the PDF.
Although Maung Win escaped, more than 400 bullets and Kyats 90 lakh were confiscated.
