SAGAING DIVISION – On June 1, junta forces forcibly evacuated over 50 civilians in Pi La Ha Village and engaged in clashes with KIA Battalion – 12 and the People’s Defence Organization joint forces at approximately 2 p.m.
The junta council, coming from infantry battalion – 121 based in Ngar Oh Village, clashed with KIA-PDF joint forces, resulting in Ms. Than Hla, over 60 years old from Pi La Ha Village, being wounded due to the junta’s reckless shots.
Following the clashes, the junta soldiers set fire to houses and iron waste in Nyaung Chay Htout Village. On June 2, they once again set fire to four civilians’ houses in Pi La Ha Village and over 70 houses in Nyaung Chay Htout Village.
Heavy clashes between the junta forces and the KIA-PDF coalition forces frequently occurred in Katha Township, with the junta council continuing to set fire to civilians’ houses.
