TANINTHARYI DIVISION – The junta’s two military trucks leaving Palauk Town for Palaw Township were reportedly detonated with mines by the anti-junta local Resistance Fighters near Nan Pa Yoke Village in Palaw Township, Myeik District, on the morning of May 24, according to the Spokesperson of Myeik District Battalion – 1.
After the mine attacks, there was a 20-minutes lasted skirmish between the anti-junta local Resistance Fighters and the terrorist junta forces.
“On May 24, at around 6:00 a.m., our Revolutionary Forces attacked the junta’s military trucks carrying about 50 terrorist junta forces with six mines. One of the trucks escaped from the attacks, but another one was stopped and there was an encounter. The terrorist junta soldiers fired back around 20 of 40mm grenades. We were able to retreat without being harmed from the battlefield at around 6:30 a.m.,” said the Spokesperson of Myeik District Battalion – 1.
At least 15 fascist junta forces were injured during the attacks, and the exact death toll has yet to be independently confirmed.
On May 11, the junta’s two military trucks were mined on the road between Hta Min Ma Sar and Nan Pa Yoke villages of Palaw Township, and at least five junta soldiers were reportedly injured.
