SAGAING DIVISION – PDF comrades detonated landmines near Alel Bon Village in Pale Township on Tuesday (September 5) at around 8:45 a.m., resulting in the deaths of three junta council soldiers, according to Ko Myat, a vice-battalion commander of the M7 People’s Defense Army.
The junta soldiers had left Pale Myoma Police Station to patrol the town, and PDF comrades detonated landmines twice. Three junta soldiers were killed, and approximately ten others were wounded. Among the wounded junta troops, some sustained eye injuries and were sent to Monywa Hospital.
“As they were patrolling near Alel Bon Village, north of Pale Town, they were hit by landmines. The first mine killed three of them, and another one exploded when around 15 junta police and troops arrived. The first explosion killed three, and the last one wounded around ten. Some suffered eye injuries. They retreated to the town after firing recklessly for two minutes nearby. The one with eye injuries may be transferred to Monywa Hospital since the facilities in Pale cannot treat his injuries,” said Ko Myat.
The M7 People’s Defense Army, Pale PDF, and Region-7 PDF jointly carried out the attacks and successfully disengaged.
