BAGO DIVISION: A six-wheel truck with illegal logs from Bago Yoema, Gyobingyauk township, western Bago division, was said to have been attacked with mines by Natsitthi Company-2, Gyobingyauk, as said by a company commander of Natsitthi Battalion.
After illegal logging from Gyopingyauk township, the truck came back to Ayetharyar’s new town, Okpho township. While it was between Thinkharhine village and Yonechaung village, it was attacked with mines around 9 p.m. on August 18.
The illegally logged truck was known to have come back, and we waited for it. The driver ran away. After being checked, the truck exploded. No one came to carry it, and there was no casualty. The front part of the truck was damaged, as said by the Natsitthi Company (3) commander.
The teak was known to have been logged illegally with the cooperation of the Forest Department, Gyopingyauk township, and the Pyusawhtee (militant) leader from Bawbin dam, Gyopingyauk township, and was worth 10 million Myanmar kyats and weighed about 4 tons.
The illegal loggers have monthly bribed the junta’s army and committed illegal logging. So, the trucks have been restricted from going up Bago Yoema since August 6, by the Tharyarwaddy district People Defence Force. Those who failed to follow the restriction will be taken action, as mentioned in the announcement.
On July 19, two militants (Pyusawhtees) and the junta’s informers carrying the charcoal from Bago Yoema were said to have been shot dead by MinHla PDF.
