SAGAING DIVISION – According to the leader of Monywa Urban Guerilla Force, they attacked the junta council troops at the old ministry of immigration and population (MIP) office on Monywa-Amyint Road, Monywa Town, Sagaing Division, at around 10 a.m. on June 12. As a result, two junta council troops were killed.
Bo. Tiger, the leader of the Urban Guerilla force, mentioned that they attacked a unit of around six junta council troops that has been stationed for the past six months, at around 10 a.m. on June 12 in retaliation for the death of the leader of Dattah Monywa People’s Defence Force, Bo. Dattah.
He added, “We retaliated for the death of my disciple, today. When two junta troops came out from the old ministry of immigration and population office, we shot at them, taking the initiative. They (two troops) were killed at the scene. Although the junta council troops from the office (the old MIP office) fired back, our comrades were safe.”
Bo. Tiger continued that three comrades were sent to scout ahead and five comrades attacked using three small arms. The dead bodies of the two junta troops were carried to Monywa Town by car.
The brutal junta troops shot at Bo. Dattah, the founder of Dattah Monywa PDF at Nagartwin Village, in Monywa Township, on June 3 and he sacrificed his life for the country.
After the attack, the junta council troops raided Nyaung Pin Thar Village near the old ministry of immigration and population office and set four houses on fire, in the afternoon.
The junta council declared Martial law in Monywa Town on February 2. Even though the security has been tightened, the revolutionary forces have frequently conducted attacks against the junta council troops in the town.
At around 9:30, on June 2, Snipe Ranger Force (LPDF) fired heavy weapons into Monywa University Of Economics where around 200 junta council troops were stationed.
