MANDALAY DIVISION – The anti-junta Resistance Fighters reportedly launched an artillery attack with 40mm to the junta’s No.1 police station near the front part of the palace in Mandalay City, according to the official of Nat Soe (Underground Force).
On May 31, at around 8:00 a.m., the Resistance Fighters fired 40mm artillery shells on junta’s No.1 police station, located on 19 Road near the front part of the palace in Aungmyaythazan Township. No.1 police station was built to be safe and strong, and the security is always under special surveillance, so they were able to fire at the office where the recommendation letters are made in the police station. It is reported that the casualty situation has not yet been confirmed.
“During the retreat, all areas were blocked and checked. Our comrades withdrew from the mission place with great caution and then retreated successfully. We are going to accelerate the pace of urban guerrilla warfare, so we request the people not to remain silent and stand with our Revolutionary Comrades while carrying out whatever duties they can,” said the official of Nat Soe (Underground Force).
The mission was said to have been carried out jointly by the Nat Soe (Underground Force) and Company -1 of Pyinoolwin District People’s Defence Organization.
