NORTHERN SHAN STATE – Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) issued a statement saying that there were many casualties on the junta council’s side during the battle near Nar Htan Village and Gaung Yar Village in Sei Lant Village Tract of northern Shan State.
The confrontation was fierce almost all day long from the morning of August 2 and it was stated in the statement that the combination of the junta council troops and their subordinate Pyi Thu Sit militias which had launched offensive attacks, retreated after suffering many casualties.
During the confrontation, 10 fascist junta council servants were killed, 13 were injured and weapons, bullets and military equipment from the junta council servants could be seized, TNLA released the news along with the photo records.
It was stated in the statement that TNLA could confiscate one rocket-propelled grenade (RPG), one AK-81 rifle, one 60 MM mortar, one 81 MM mortar, 40 81 MM grenades, one machine gun, 5000 bullets, one communication equipment and other military equipments.
There were nine battles that broke out between TNLA and the fascist junta council troops between July 23 and August 2.
TNLA announced that during those battles, 25 fascist junta council troops were killed, 27 troops injured and one was captured alive.
