RAKHINE STATE – Arakan Army (AA) reported that they acquired the junta’s Ran Aung Pyin base in Maungdaw Township on February 23, and continued to combat the outposts that did not surrender to AA.
AA reportedly attacked Ran Aung Pyin base, starting at 7:32 a.m., on February 23, and completely acquired after five hours of attack, at 12:15 p.m.
In addition, the remaining camps around it will continue to be attacked and occupied, AA said.
Similarly, locals said that AA has been combating the military bases in Ponnagyun, Rathedaung, Buthidaung, Maungdaw and Minbya towns, which have not surrendered.
It is reported that the AA has been attacking No.9 Central Training School near Kan Ni and May Lum villages, which is the only remaining military base in Minbya Town, for the 6th day.
On February 22, AA attacked and captured junta’s Ponnagyun police station and continued to attack junta’s Light Infantry Battalion – 550 in Ponnagyun Town. The terrorist junta also carried out aerial bombings over Ramree Town, AA reported.
