YANGON DIVISION – According to an accountable person of Urban Special Operation (U.S.O), the members of U.S.O attacked a coup council owned Myanmar Brewery using two 107mm makeshift rocket launchers in Mingaladon Township, Yangon city.
The accountable person explained that the reason why the brewery was attacked is because “it was owned by the coup council. And we also got the news that the junta council planned to force the civilians to sell Myanmar beer.”
That attack was carried out at around 7 p.m. on October 12. The members could perform the attack with the cooperation of the informer in the junta council army.
He continued that two makeshift rocket launchers landed in the Myanmar brewery compound and there could be casualties on the junta council’s side. After the attack, two ambulances drove into the brewery compound.
It was the fourth operation after the U.S.O announced that they will conduct special urban operations on September 15.
As the revolutionary forces appealed to the public to boycott the junta council’s businesses, the consumer demand for Myanmar Beer has declined. So, the coup council has been forcing and threateninh the shop owners to sell Myanmar beer.
