KAREN STATE – The junta terrorists stationed at Shweayemyaing Pagoda Hill in Myawaddy Township were attacked with heavy weapons and a junta deputy battalion commander and major was injured, said an official from Cobra Column 2 Venom Column.
On September 20 around 1:30 p.m., Shweayemyaing Pagoda Hill where the junta terrorists were stationed was attacked with two rounds of 40mm mortars as a guerrilla operation and the attack injured the deputy battalion commander of junta infantry 559.
“We only managed to fire two rounds. As for the junta dogs (soldiers), they are spread out in most places from Kyaukkhet to Wallay. Currently, we can only confirm that the deputy battalion commander, Major Win Kyaw was injured. Our comrades are all safe,” said the official from Cobra Column 2 Venom Column.
The attack was launched by Cobra Column 2 Venom Column along with Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) 103 and Kawthoolei Army (KTLA) team lead by Khay Pway and the revolutionary forces are said to be unharmed. The attacked infantry 559 of the terrorist junta council is reportedly lead by a lieutenant colonel.
