MYANMAR – On August 2, the National Unity Government (NUG) Ministry of Education declared the recognition of 375 schools as interim People’s Education Schools. These schools had applied for recognition from NUG and committed to adhering to the eleven policies.
The NUG Ministry of Education also announced on August 1 that two online schools, which have pledged to comply with the eleven policies and online teaching rules, will also be recognized. As of now, approximately 70 online schools have been recognized by NUG.
The Ministry of Education stated that they are currently auditing more schools and online schools for recognition, and the names of the recognized institutions will be announced in the future.
