RAKHINE STATE – According to the locals, a battle broke out near the police headquarters in Mrauk-U town, Rakhine state and the fascist junta council conducted aerial bombardments over the civilian villages.
Starting from 5 p.m. on December 13, the battles broke out between the fascist junta council troops and the Arakan Army (AA) near Mrauk-U police headquarters and Chaungthit village and the fascist junta council conducted aerial bombardments over the civilian places.
A local mentioned that “The junta council opened fire using fighter jets near the Mrauk-U police headquarters and Chaungthit village. The battles started at around 5 p.m. During the battle, the junta council dropped bombs using fighter jets. It has been two days since the junta council recklessly opened fire.”
The local continued that it has been two days since the civilians from Mrauk-U town and the nearby villages; Parein Kone, Maungthakon, Pipinkone, Kyauktwinkone and Myatyeikkyun villages, have been forced to flee due to the junta council’s attacks over the civilian places.
Moreover, a heavy weapon shelling which was fired by the junta council on the night of December, landed over a place in the western part of Gonekyun village. As a result, a civilian who was herding the cattle was injured in his eyes and a cow was killed.
