SAGAING DIVISION – Yinmarbin PDF alliances ambushed junta police who attempted to extort money from civilians in Yinmarbin Township on Tuesday, October 3rd, at around 6 a.m. During the ambush, three junta police troops were killed, and three weapons were confiscated.
They’re stationed at Sitagu Monastery in Yinmarbin Township when they were intercepted by the Cho Mai Mai Alliances while attempting to extort money. The attack resulted in the death of one deputy police chief and two police corporals. Seven Special Commandos from the Cho Mai Mai Yinmarbin Alliances executed the attack, which lasted approximately seven minutes. Following the attack, the comrades successfully disengaged, taking with them two G3 guns and one Uzi.
An official stated, “They left their station at Sitagu Monastery to extort money from civilians. We intercepted them, killed three, and confiscated three weapons.”
The Alliances are also appealing to local and international civilians for support as they intensify their efforts in the ongoing military situation.
