MAGWAY DIVISION – PDFs reportedly raided the home of Kyaw Win, a member of Yesagyo Township council and a loyalist of the junta regime that lives at No. 8 Ward, Thukawadi, Yesagyo, Magway Division, on Friday (May 19) afternoon. The next door neighbour telephoned the junta troops and they arrived instantly and an exchange of fire ensued.
The junta council announced that an exchange of fire took place after “six PDFs in three motorcycles arrived at the house of township council member (2), Kyaw Win, located in Ward No. 8 of Yesagyo and while the PDFs were asking whether he was home or not, junta soldiers received a tip-off and arrived there.”
The junta council added that they had no casualties and also seized a motorcycle which the PDFs left behind at the scene.
Local media reported that while the PDFs were raiding the house of the junta stooge, the junta soldiers were called by the nextdoor neighbour and urgently arrived. They then fire about 40 rounds. It was also said that junta loyalist Kyaw Win is no longer staying in that house as he reportedly packed his belongings and left with the junta soldiers.
It is not known yet which group was responsible for the attack.
