TANINTHARYI DIVISION: The junta’s temporary station at the junction on the hill of Standing Buddha Statue at the west of Yebyu township, Tanintharyi division was said to have been attacked around 7 a.m. on October 4, which resulted in the death of 6 soldiers, according to the responsible person of Launglon township People’s Defence Force.
The attack lasted only 15 minutes. The revolutionary forces had to retreat due to the firing of heavy artillery by the junta’s artillery battalion from Kyauk Kahnyar. They, however, could successfully retreat without any casualties.
The attack was jointly organised by Launglon township People’s Defence Force- LLPDF, Nagar Squadron, Dawei No.(4) Squadron of DGRF and its alliance YPPDF.
