MAGWAY DIVISION – It’s been reported that four junta policemen were killed in a mine attack during their attempt to arrest a PDF member near Myin Te Gyi Village, Nat Mauk Township, Magway Division.
“About ten policemen were attacked with an activated mine near Phoo Pwint Wai Restaurant on the side of the 100 feet road in Myin Te Gyi Village at around 10 a.m. on May 20,” said Bo. Aung Din from Nat Mauk Garuda PDF.
“I was on a mission. I stopped at the restaurant to have a meal as I was hungry. The junta council forces got the information and they came to arrest me. I remotely detonated the activated mine in my motorcycle while they were inspecting it before entering the restaurant. And then, I ran away. The junta council members near the motorcycle fell,” said Bo. Aung Din.
One policeman shot at him while he was running away after the explosion but he could escape without getting hit. He only had several wounds on his foot due to scraping on the stones.
Due to the mine attack, three junta policemen fell and died on the spot and five were injured. It’s also reported that one of them died on the way.
The junta council members searched for Bo. Aung Din after the mine attack but he is said to have returned to a safe place.
