YANGON DIVISION – The terrorist junta regime has announced on May 20 that they had abducted 10 people including some youths in Yangon in connection with the elimination of Mr. Sai Kyaw Thu, junta-appointed deputy director of Union Election Commission (UEC).
The junta council abducted 10 people from Sanchaung, South Dagon, North Okkalapa, Kamaryut, Dala and Shwepyithar townships, more than three weeks after Mr. Sai Kyaw Thu was eliminated.
According to the press release of the junta council, they abducted them one by one and seized two pistols from them.
The terrorist junta council allegedly accused that those abductees are being the members of Yangon Revolution Force – YRF, but YRF has not been released any information about that.
On April 22, Mr. Sai Kyaw Thu, junta-appointed deputy director of UEC was shot dead near Aung Yadanar Hospital in Thingangyun Township, while he was driving.
According to the CCTV footage of the shooting, two men on bicycle shot with a pistol at Mr. Sai Kyaw Thu who was in the car.
Yangon Region’s Military Commander of National Unity Government (NUG) confirmed to the media that the shooting was carried out by an urban guerrilla unit called “For the Yangon”.
