NAYPYIDAW – It was reported that there had been an explosion around 5 p.m. on June 5, in front of Lewe police station, located within the Naypyidaw Union territory where the terrorist junta regime set up its headquarter, and some junta underling policemen were reportedly injured.
The sentry post, guarding the Myoma police station of Lewe in No. 4 residential ward, was assaulted with hand grenades by two youth motorcyclists, causing three junta police to injure due to the explosion and two were in critical condition, said a local.
“That sentry post was purposed as the security for the police station. There had been not much “stop and search”. Two motorcyclist youths threw the grenade and rode off,” he recounted.
Junta-supportive telegram channels also reported the explosion and two casualties at the Lewe police station.
There has been no news release from the local revolutionary forces claiming responsibility regarding this attack.
Similarly, on April 19, Aela airport in Lewe Township was also attacked with improvised rockets.
