KACHIN STATE – There was a fierce fight between Kachin Independence Army (KIA) of Kachin Independence Organisation (KIO) and the terrorist junta forces between Ma Dee Yang and Aung Jar villages, near the Headquarters of KIO/KIA in Lai Zar, on the morning of August 27, according to a military source in the Kachin region.
The murderous junta forces suffered serious set-back during the fierce fights near Ma Dee Yang Village on August 26, and the junta sent its fighter jets for airstrike attacks in the evening. The junta forces moved again on the morning of August 27 and the fighting continued.
The fighting was raging at around 9:00 a.m., on August 27, between Ma Dee Yang and Aung Jar villages. The junta’s air forces carried out aerial bombardments with three fighter jets from Myitkyina as their ground forces suffered serious set-back and were unable to move their operations, according to a military source in the Kachin region.
The junta launched three aerial bombings, once at around 1:00 p.m., once at 1:07 p.m., and another one at 1:12 p.m., on August 27.
He said that, “there was no casualty on our side.”
He continued that junta forces that suffered serious casualties in the clashes along Myitkyina – Bhamo Road, had to move their military operations as they could not go beyond the orders from higher up levels.
The military junta launched strong offensive attacks in the Nam San Yang area near Laiza in July, and fighting along the Myitkyina – Bhamo Road, including Nam San Yang, was fierce.
