SAGAING DIVISION – An official of the People’s Service Revolutionary Army said that more than 10 houses were burnt to ashes by the army after a terrorist army column was attacked with a mine in Wetlet Township, Sagaing Division.
On May 25, at around 6:00 a.m., with a strength of 70, the tactical column from LIB 364 of the terrorist army attacked Wetlet Township. When they were entering the eastern part of the Lanepin village in 3 groups, the People’s Service Revolutionary Forces Division 1 attacked them in 3 positions with pre-installed land mines, many soldiers were killed.
It is reported that the terrorist army column, which was hurt by the mine attack raided and burned the village of Lanepin at around 9:40 in the morning, burned down more than 10 public houses, and then retreated back to Wetlet.
“The junta dogs burned more than 10 houses. Houses in the south and central areas were burned. The junta dogs were injured. They brought those who were injured by landmines back. The number of deaths of the war dogs is not yet known. It is possible that the bodies of dead junta dogs were put into the houses and burned,” said an official of the People’s Service Revolutionary Forces.
Until now, the remaining terrorist soldiers are stationing in Taung Wutyone monastery, Lanepin village, Wetlet township.
