MYANMAR – Two junta police officers were shot in Si Myee Swal Town, Thegon Township, Bago Division, resulting in the death of one on Monday (June 26) at around 7 a.m.
Kyaw Kyaw, a regional police officer, and Soe Thet Aung, a retired police officer, were shot by guerilla comrades while riding a motorcycle.
Soe Thet Aung was killed instantly due to his back injuries, and Kyaw Kyaw was taken to Pyay Hospital with serious injuries.
Kyaw Kyaw collaborated with the junta council, abducted civilians’ motorcycles, extorted money, tortured poor civilians, and illegally sentenced them. The civilians reported him, and the comrades killed him.
Pyay District PDF Battalion 3602, Thegon PDF Company 4 (TPDF), and Paungde Township PDF Battalion 3601 (PPDF) jointly carried out the operation.
In Ye Township, Mon State, Ye Baluu killed Soe Aung, a Pyu Saw Htee leader, on Monday (June 26). Soe Aung tortured civilians from Asin, Kyar Tan, Zee Phyu Thaung, Damin Seik, Pin Lae Wa Sate Kalay, Abaw, and Duya Villages and extorted money from them.
