MON STATE – The YGF-Ye Guerrilla Force announced today, September 13, that Mon State-based revolutionary forces jointly attacked the Light Infantry Battalion 583 and 591 troops under the Terrorist Military Operations Command (19) with heavy weapons. It’s been reported that the attack was jointly carried out by Dawna Column, Mon State Revolutionary Army (MSRF); Ye Defence Forces (YDF), Mon State Based Revolutionary Organization (MSRO), ABSDF Battalion (1), YAF, KNLA Battalion-27, and the YGF-Ye guerilla forces.
On September 12th, at around 2:30 p.m., the Allied forces attacked the military council troops together. A total of four military soldiers, including a lieutenant, a lieutenant sergeant, a soldier, and a female soldier, were killed, and seven soldiers were seriously injured.
When the allied forces finished firing, three 81mm, five 60mm, and 79 mm shells from the Light Infantry Battalion 583rd and 591st troops were fired back into the villages. In addition, seven heavy weapons were fired again that night.
According to the YGF-Ye guerrilla force, it was heard that six civilians were injured due to the indiscriminate firing by the terrorist soldiers, who threatened to “shoot the village if they hit the army”.
