YANGON DIVISION – A bomb exploded in front of Insein Prison on Wednesday (December 27) around 1 p.m., destroying two cars, but the casualties are unknown, according to residents.
After the explosion, junta soldiers and police blocked the roads and conducted an inspection. “The bomb exploded around 1 p.m., and it was too loud. Two cars that were stopped were damaged, and we couldn’t determine any casualties. Currently, junta troops are inspecting the area,” said a resident.
The shops near Insein Prison were closed after the explosion, and there were few passersby. The junta council soldiers also illegally detained youths passing through the area.
