BAGO DIVISION – A ward administrator was shot dead while on his way to attend military training at Junta Infantry Battalion – 6 on Monday (October 2) at around 5:10 a.m. in Oakpho Township.
He was Aung Win Lay, a ward administrator of Kyal Ni Kone Village. Comrades from Guerrilla Force – Oakpho, Company 4, Battalion – 3802, shot him dead at the entrance of the village.
Comrades confiscated a mobile phone that was connected to the junta troops and Aung Win Lay, a notebook that noted down the movement of revolutionary comrades, 31,150 MMK, an ID card, and a Covid Vaccine Certificate.
He was also the Pyu Saw Htee Leader, responsible for collecting human resources for the junta forces, lecturing on military training at IB – 6, informing the camp’s location, and providing information about comrades to the junta council while oppressing civilians. Comrades had warned him, but he didn’t comply, resulting in his death.
“He was also a member of junta’s political party USDP and had a gun and grenade that were supported by the junta council. We couldn’t find them. He might have left them at his house or IB – 6,” said an official of Thayarwaddy District PDF.
