MANDALAY DIVISION – The junta forces travelling on a vessel were reportedly attacked in the Irrawaddy River and there were casualties, according to Myingyan District Battalion 3.
The activity was said to be initiated near Lin Gyi Harbour, Myingyan around 5 p.m. on June 18 and around ten junta soldiers were reportedly killed.
Battalion 3 and allied forces are said to have fired both heavy and small weapons towards the vessel that the junta group boarded and quite a few number of junta soldiers were affected due to this ambush.
The above mentioned activity was said to be collaboration between Myingyan District Battalion 3, Burmese Guerrilla Force-BGF, Mo Shay Daw Yan Guerrilla Force and A Maye Lat Yone Force.
Regarding the number of junta casualties, it cannot be independently verified and there were no specific information released from the respective junta force at the moment.
