KARENNI STATE – Karenni National Defense Force (KNDF) announced that more than 50 clashes involving the KNDF took part in Karenni State during the month of August, and 110 members of the terrorist junta council were killed and more than 40 were injured.
During the Demoso and Hpruso fronts, there were many casualties, including those with the rank of lieutenant colonel of junta council. During these clashes, three terrorist soldiers were arrested and 15 small arms, a heavy weapon and related ammunition were seized.
In addition, during the month of August, the military council forces carried out 45 times of airstrikes, and one civilian was killed in the airstrikes, and another two civilians were killed in the heavy weapons attack.
The KNDF statement stated that three children were injured due to a drone attack by the Terrorist War Council.
In the month of August, due to junta’s airstrikes and heavy weapons attacks, 20 residential houses, one Christian church and two schools were damaged, and 18 residential houses were destroyed by the terrorist army’s torching in the villages where the fighting took place.
It was also stated that since August 2, the Terrorist War Council has been aggressively attacking the villages along the road of Demoso-Hpruso Union Road in order to take control.
It is reported that daily clashes with Karenni resistance forces are taking place due to the fact that the 55th Division under the Junta Council Army attacked and stationed with 3 columns from the starting point of Demoso and Hpruso townships from Ngway Taung Ywa Thit village to Da La village, Htee Thaw Khu and Daw Nyay Khu Village.
It is said that five KNDF soldiers fell while defending against the terrorist army on the battlefield of Demoso township during August.
