MYANMAR – The National Unity Government (NUG) reported that over 50 junta forces were killed in the battles that took place on August 1 alone.
In battle weary Sagaing Division, PDF troops attacked a junta checkpoint in Tabayin Township, killing six junta forces. PDF also attacked the junta subordinate Pyu Saw Htee militia in Pale Township and Shwebo Township.
In Magway Division, an exchange of fire between PDF and junta forces took place in Myaing Township while PDF launched drone attacks on the junta checkpoint in Mindon Township.
PDF also intercepted a junta column in Pekhon Township of Shan State and an explosion near a junta gate in Hpaan Township, Karen State reportedly wiped out a large number of junta troops.
NUG said that the actual junta casualties on the ground could be higher than reported, adding that there were 28 junta forces injured on the same date.
Currently, the population of Myanmar is resisting against the junta council’s terrorist regime for their rights to survive.
An estimated 30,000 junta forces are reported to have been killed so far while 10,000 were reportedly injured. Over 13,000 junta soldiers and police are said to have deserted the junta council to join the side of the people.
The junta council, on the other hand, do not release any information of their casualties in the battles across Myanmar.
