MYANMAR – People’s Defence Force (Military Headquarters) under the National Unity Government (NUG) reported on May 5 that a total of 3,948 fascist junta forces were killed and 1,760 were injured during the battles and offensive attacks that took place between January and the end of April, 2023.
The Revolutionary Forces not only had attacked the junta’s frontline outposts and junta columns, they had combated their rear camps, Regional Military Commands (RMCs), Light Infantry Divisions (LIDs), Military Operations Commands(MOCs), Regional Operations Commands (ROCs), Defence Product Industries (DPIs), Military Airbases and oil storage tanks by using grenades-equipped drones, short-range missiles and long-range rockets during first quarter of 2023.
A total of 193 drone attacks by townships, 44 of junta’s outposts seizing, 26 important military targeted attacks and numerous ground level encounters took place in the first quarter of 2023, and a total of 3,948 of murderous junta forces and their supporters were killed and 1,760 were injured, according the report of NUG’s People’s Defence Force (Military Headquarters).
The battles and attacks were happened in Nay Pyi Taw, Sagaing, Magway, Tanintharyi, Mandalay, Yangon, Ayeyarwaddy, Bago divisions and Kayin, Mon, Kachin, Chin, Karenni (Kayah), Shan (South) and Shan (North) states.
Moreover, the Military Headquarters also stated that the pro- democracy military informants (locally called as watermelon), the Resistance Fighters and the allied forces who had participated during the fighting, are respectfully recognized and honored.
