BAGO DIVISION- The 3601 – PPDF battalion reported that two junta soldiers were injured when their hidden sentry at Paukkhaung Township was attacked.
It is reported that about ten soldiers, arriving at a public rest-house between Taungywa and Parpyin Village, were attacked with a remote-controlled mine at around 9:00 p.m. on April 12.
”This public rest house is frequently visited by the soldiers on patrol, so we planted a remote mine and detonated when they arrived. Two soldiers were reportedly wounded. The ground scout reported that they were taken to the Paukkhaung hospital overnight by car,” said the 3601st battalion’s information officer.
He added that on April 13, the two wounded soldiers were transferred to the 100-bed Shwetaung Hospital.
He also said that after detonating the mines, the military council troops arbitrarily fired small arms, and the resistance forces at the site had to retreat.
This attack was carried out by the 3601 – PPDF (Paungde People’s Defense Force) Battalion, Company 5 (Nway Oo Force) and Paukkhaung PDF.
Last April 2, around 8:00 p.m., the Paungde People’s Defense Force shot and eliminated Mr. Tin Htwe, the head of the Nyaung Pin Inn Village Group Administrator, and his son.
