RAKHINE STATE-Local residents said that clashes broke out between the Arakan Army (AA) and the military junta forces in Thandwe Township, southern part of Arakan State since April 13.
On April 13, from 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 a.m., there was a fight between Thandwe and Shwe Hlay. The place where the battle took place is 10 miles away from Thandwe, on the other side of the village of Kwae Chaung Village. It happened in the old Sa Yoke Village. During the battle, they fired heavy weapons and clusters rockets along with the sound of gunfire. It is learned that some comrades from the AA side were killed in the battle.
Thandwe Township, where AA and military junta troops fought, is where the famous Ngapali beach located, and the skirmishes spread to southern Rakhine State.
During Thingyan, the AA will attack all military junta council camps in Rakhine state that have not surrendered, and issued a warning to the military junta council battalions to surrender on time, especially headquarters of the military council in Sittwe, Kyauk Phyu, Toungup and Ann townships. It is learned that AA is warning military junta camps to surrender as soon as possible.
