SHAN STATE – The terrorist junta council troops who ran away from the losing battle in Xieshang Region of Kokang District murdered six civilians they abducted as human shields and when the civilians fought back with bats and knives, two terrorists were killed and ten were captured alive, according to Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA).
The junta terrorists ran away after losing to revolutionary forces in battles at the villages of Wakyigyaing, Honmulin and Htaukpaichan of Shaukkai Village Tract between November 30 and December 4 reportedly raided and destroyed the civilian houses.
They then abducted and murdered a resident of Honmulin Village and five residents of Wakyigyaing Village, further injuring over ten civilians.
As a result, the villagers fought back against those junta terrorists using bats and knives, killing two of them and capturing ten unarmed troops who were transferred to captivity under MNDAA.
It is said that the captured junta forces were transferred to MNDAA as the local civilians are furious at the junta terrorists who abduct, murder and use civilians as human shields.
Similarly, eight junta terrorists that escaped from Konegyan Camp were found by MNDAA troops at Shaukkai Kyi road branch in Xieshang Region on December 4 around 11 p.m. Seven of them were captured alive while one was killed after getting shot during the capture. The killed junta soldier is said to be a company commander who was transferred to Konegyan Camp from Tarshwehtan artillery battalion.
The dead and captured junta troops included two soldiers from junta light infantry (LIB) 545 and two from LIB 547, both under command of the military operations command 12 of the terrorist junta council while the rest are said to be Pyithusit militia. In addition, ten junta troops from LIB 520 that ran away from Monekyat camp in Mineyaw Region of Mupam (Hsenwi) District were also reportedly captured on December 3 morning.
