KAREN STATE – According to local people, the ministry of immigration office was burnt down to ash on the evening of September 27 in ward No.7, Kawkareik Township, Karen State.
It was known that the ministry of immigration’s office was torched starting from 11 p.m. on September 27 and the entire office was destroyed. The office was deliberately set on fire and there was no one working at that office except the office guard. As a result of the fire, some furniture and office supplies were burnt down and nothing was left in the office.
“It was known that the office was intentionally torched. There is an office guard in that office. At the time of the fire, the office guard ran away and the office was burnt down to ash,” said a local who lives in Kawkareik.
Similarly, three power poles of Mahar power lines were also detonated and damaged near Yaehpyukan Village , Nyaunglebin Township, Bago Division, on the night of September 26.
